What is NexStar Program?

Launched in 2018 by the City of Melbourne and ACASE, NexStar is an immersive program that connects international students with businesses to drive their international business growth.

Focusing on a specific market each year, the program bridges global enterprises with talented tertiary students in Melbourne, to explore market opportunities and develop tailored market entry strategies, through a structured sprint program that includes mentoring, workshops, networking, and pitch competitions.

Since its inception, NexStar has built a thriving alumni network including 449 students from 35 countries and 60 innovative businesses.

NexStar 2025: Tianjin Sprint

2025 marks the 45^th anniversary of Melbourne – Tianjin Sister City relationship. To celebrate this milestone, NexStar 2025 will spotlight Tianjin, supporting Tianjin-based businesses in exploring the dynamic Australian market and identifying market entry pathways. Two businesses from Tianjin, and HelloRide Global, a leading smart mobility company have joined this program.

Who is Eligible?

If you meet the following criteria, come and join us!

✅ Enrollment Status: Currently enrolled in a tertiary institution in Victoria (undergraduate or postgraduate level).

✅ International Student: Must hold a valid international student visa.

✅ Academic Background: Preferably studying in fields such as:

Business / Commerce
Marketing
Entrepreneurship
Economics

✅ Availability: Able to commit to the full 3-week sprint program (19 Nov - 8 Dec), including workshops, mentoring sessions, and pitch events.

✅ Language Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

✅ Teamwork & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse teams.

✅ Interest in International Business: Passion for cross-cultural collaboration and global market development.
