What Is NexStar?

Through NexStar, Victorian-based international students develop their skills and build their confidence by gathering insights from their home countries and applying them to start-up businesses. The start-ups gain a global approach to scaling through the diversity of the cohort.

105 students from 8 universities across Victoria were selected to be a part of NexStar 2019. These students represent 19 different regions from around the world, including China, X and X.

Out of 33 applications, 13 start-ups were chosen based on their global market readiness. These start-ups cover a range of different areas and sectors, including Digital & IT, Manufacturing, Education, Life Sciences and Finance.

NexStar alumni are building stronger, richer and more collaborative communities to further advance Melbourne as a global hub for education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
