WHAT IS NEXSTAR?

NexStar connects students and businesses in an experiential learning platform to develop global market entry strategies.

Each startup/student cohort team works towards a final global market pitch through a series of workshops, mentor sessions, teamwork and stakeholder events.

The program covers market identification, customer development, global market strategy, IP and regulatory frameworks, startup resilience and pitch development to overseas investors.

HOW DOES NEXSTAR WORK?

NexStar’s learning modules are delivered in three formats to best suit the needs of participants: 3-day sprints, 4-week bootcamps and a 3-month course.

Learn possible ways to launch your product or service into Asian target markets.

Over four weeks, startup/student teams will build a business case for a new market.

NEXSTAR 2020 COVID-19 ASIA READINESS VIRTUAL SPRINT

From May 15 - 20, ACASE presented our first ever 'virtual sprint'. Twenty one international students in Victoria participated in the event, with each team presenting a Go-To Market Strategy designed specifically for a different local start-up. 

The participating start-ups includedComplete Phase Consulting, Recstra, Castiglione Art and Culture and Equiprise. 

Throughout the five day event students were provided with the unique opportunity to participate in a series of presentations from industry leaders covering a range of topics including entrepreneurship, market assessment, pitching and presentation skills, and the Asian market.

Our speakers included Nicholas Henderson (Asia Link), Alex Avery (Datos Digital), and Cr Phillip Le Liu.

Out of 60 applications22 businesses were selected based on their global market readiness.
