Nexus 2022 Competition: Supporting Australian innovative business to expand growth in Asia
High tech and digital economy businesses in Melbourne and broader Australia looking to enter the Asian market can now apply for Nexus 2022 Program support and resources to develop and implement tailored market entry and growth plans.
The Nexus Program delivers a unique and prioritised pathway to the Asian market, leveraging the long-standing city-to-city relationship between Melbourne and Nanjing; as well as the expertise of ACASE, Pukoh High Tech Precinct, Austrade Shanghai Landing Pad, RunwayHQ, and Global Victoria.
- Applications are now open, closing on 30 September
The Program has a competitive entry process, and businesses should apply online. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to pitch their emerging plans at the Nexus Pitch event on Thursday 20 October.
- The top six Nexus Pitch winners will receive cash prizes including $5,000 for first place, $2,000 each for second and third, and $1,000 each for fourth, fifth, and sixth.
- All six will be awarded a fully funded place in the ACASE Asia Market Sprint program to further refine and then activate the Asian market entry plans.
- The overall winner will also receive a funded five-day business trip to Nanjing!
Applicants are expected to demonstrate a genuine interest and commitment to commercialisation of their research, products, or services into the Asian Market; and should also have a proven business development approach with a clear growth pathway based on initial seed investments already made.
Applications from businesses based in Melbourne will be prioritised, and entries from Victoria, Australia, and other jurisdictions are also encouraged. These will be assessed on a rolling basis as they are received, so to ensure you don’t miss your opportunity to pitch. Apply online now.
