NexStar Sprint Special Edition for Students Affected by the Outbreak of Coronavirus
To better support students who are currently enrolled in a Melbourne university or college and are unable to commence their study due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the City of Melbourne and ACASE are delighted to offer a special edition of the NexStar program
NexStar is a community-driven program created by ACASE and the City of Melbourne.
It is an experiential learning platform for high performing tertiary students and a pathway for businesses to scale to emerging Asian markets.
NexStar connects students and businesses to develop global market entry strategies together. Each startup/student cohort team works towards a final global market pitch through a series of workshops, mentor sessions, teamwork and stakeholder events.
An online NexStar learning program is available to these students for self-study. Consisting of video recordings of previous NexStar workshops and public lectures, interviews of startup founders and experts as well as online articles and learning modules, the online program introduces students to the entrepreneurial mindset and covers important topics such as market identification and entry strategies, IP and regulatory frameworks and pitch development to overseas investors.
Upon return to Melbourne, students will be offered the opportunity to participate in a three day NexStar Sprint at Melbourne Town Hall. The Sprint provides students the chance to solidify learning outcomes with peers, meet founders and government leaders and make new friends.
Normally priced at $399 per student, the course is free of charge to affected students.
